When I was a little girl, it was a special occasion when my mom got out the collection of porcelain birds she had acquired by buying Tender Leaf Orange Pekoe tea. I was particularly charmed by the Goldfinch in that collection. I still have a sense of awe when I see a live Goldfinch flitting and darting in our garden. How appropriate that a flock of Goldfinches is called a "Charm"!
