I was commissioned to paint this by lovely clients who daily admire the cows grazing in the idyllic pasture off of Cherry Point Road in the Cowichan Valley. They asked me to include their beloved Brittany Spaniel, Hunter. The end result reminded me of some of the pastoral scenes painted by English landscape painter, John Constable.
