Since arriving on Vancouver Island, I've been in awe of the Giant Leaf Maple trees. Massive trees with HUGE emerald leaves, branches often dripping in moss, and seed pods hanging like jewelry; they command attention. And yes, when their leaves fall in the forest, they can be heard.
